Flavour’s London party ideas
The team at Flavour Venue Search recently let their hair down and went out-out in London (purely for research purposes, of course). MR FOGG’S SOCIETY OF EXPLORATION
This Covent Garden cocktail bar is a fantastic place to start any adventure. This quirky venue is themed around travel and Victorian mechanics, reflecting the Globe-trotting explorations of Phileas J. Fogg. Oozing with decorative charm from a bygone era, including a mechanical Negroni making machine, you’ll soon forget it’s the 21st century. They offer group bookings and full venue hire for 200 guests. Their semi-private Map Room can hold up to 35 adventurers. For a special treat, why not book their authentic looking Victorian train carriage? This intimate private space will transport 25 guests to a great night out.
In keeping with the theme of yesteryear, we booked some stage-side tables at Proud Embankment. This glamorous cabaret venue near Embankment station serves a sultry dinner show, featuring entertainment from world class cabaret and circus acts. We enjoyed our dinners as we marvelled at saucy burlesque artists, daring fire breathers and aerialists, all hosted by a compere with a voice like butter and a sinful sense of humour. This grandiose two-story venue can be booked with a range of packages, offering a massive dining capacity for up to 300 guests. A rip-roaring riot of an evening is guaranteed.
A few too many drinks later, we were confident our voices equalled those of the professional singers who’d entertained us. We headed towards Chancery lane station for some late-night Karaoke at Lucky Voice Holborn. This is the largest private room Karaoke venue in the UK, offering a range of room sizes to suit your group, or even full venue hire for a vocal extravaganza of up to 200 guests. In addition to their Karaoke booths, they’ve a dancefloor with DJ’s and are open until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays. Nibble delicious snacks and sip cheeky music-themed cocktails until you’ve built up the courage to blast out your favourite power ballad.
